Jesus is coming to Earth again…

Jesus is Coming to Earth Again!!!

Jesus came the first time as the Lamb of God to be sacrificed for the sins of mankind. Anyone trusting in Him and His sacrifice for their sins will spend eternity with Him. Most expected Him to come the first time as a ruling King and rescue the Jewish nation from the slavery and control of Rome. His first coming was recorded in…

Mat 2:1, 2, 11 “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.’ And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down AND WORSHIPPED HIM.”

Did you know that Jesus is coming AGAIN as a Lion from the tribe of Judah|||||?

Dan 12:2-4 “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine, like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

All of mankind must choose between Jesus and eternity with Him or… Some to everlasting death (hell) and some to everlasting life with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. So, how do I make sure that I am with Jesus for eternity and not doomed to everlasting punishment?

Acts 16:31 “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Note scripture does not say to add any trust in your Church, your good deeds, your wealth or any other work you do to be saved and spend eternity with Jesus. So, which Judgment Seat will you be at when Jesus returns? If you are not 100% sure of where you will spend eternity now is the time to find out.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

Titus 3:5 “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit”

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Everyone placing their faith for where they will spend eternity into something. How about your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers……..? What are you placing your faith in?

Romans 10:14 “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him?

And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him?

And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”

With Jesus as your Savior then ALL IS GOOD…

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

With Jesus as your Savior then ALL IS GOOD!

The story is told of a king in Africa who had a close friend
with whom he grew up.  The friend had a habit of looking at every
situation that ever occurred in his life (positive or negative) and
remarking, “This is good!”

One day the king and his friend were out on a hunting expedition.
The friend would load and prepare the guns for the king. The friend had
apparently done something wrong in preparing one of the guns, for after
taking the gun from his friend, the king fired it and his thumb was blown off.

Examining the situation the friend remarked as usual, “This is good!”

To which the king replied, “No, this is NOT good!” and proceeded
to send his friend to jail.

About a year later, the king was hunting in an area that he
should have known to stay clear of. Cannibals captured him and took them
to their village. They tied his hands, stacked some wood, set up a stake
and bound him to the stake. As they came near to set fire to the wood, they
noticed that the king was missing a thumb. Being superstitious, they
never ate anyone that was less than whole. So untying the king, they
sent him on his way.

As he returned home, he was reminded of the event that had taken
his thumb and felt remorse for his treatment of his friend. He went
immediately to the jail to speak with his friend. “You were right,” he
said, “it was good that my thumb was blown off. And he proceeded to tell
the friend all that had just happened. “And so I am very sorry for
sending you to jail for so long. It was bad of me to do this.”

“No” his friend replied, “This is good!”

“What do you mean, “This is good?” How could it be good that I sent my
friend to jail for a year?”

“If I had NOT been in jail, I would have been with you when you were
captured.”

Situations may not always seem pleasant while we are in them,
but the promise of God is clear. If we love Him and live our lives
according to His precepts, even that which seems to be bleak and
hopeless will be turned by God for His glory and our benefit.

Romans 8:28-30 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

If Jesus is your Savior then ALL IS GOOD!

The Real CHRISTian…

The Real CHRISTian…

I Pet 2:9-10 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a
holy nation,, His own people, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM the
praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had
not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”

A.W. Tozier

“The real Christian is an odd human being anyway. The Christian
feels supreme love for One he has never seen, he talks everyday with
Someone he cannot see, he expects to go to heaven on the virtue of
Someone else, he empties himself in order to be full, he admits he is
wrong so he can be declared right, he goes down in order to get up, he
is strongest when he is weakest, richest when he is the poorest,
happiest when he feels the worst, he dies so he can live, he forsakes in
order to have, he gives away so he can keep he sees the invisible, hears
the inauditable, knows that which passes knowledge.”

The test. What is your life proclaiming? And of course remember, the
biblical requirement for being a Christian is that, ‘you must be born again’

Acts 11:26 “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.
And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with
the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called
Christians first in Antioch.”

Luke 9:23 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

HAVE A GREAT DAY SERVING JESUS and remember what real
priorities Jesus would have you to practice!!!!

Rev. 20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

John 14:4-6 “And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “

The Future and Coming Events…

Phil 4:6, 7 “Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

The Future and Coming Events!

You now find yourself in a traffic jam on a main highway. And of course you are already running late.  (By the way in the book of Daniel it says that our pace will pick up in the latter days.) This is not supposed to happen. A moment ago, you were sailing along the Interstate. Now, as you inch along with hundreds of other cars, there’s bumper-to-bumper traffic as far as the eye can see. As your temperature rises you think about how this could have been avoided. If I had listened to the radio traffic report or if I had noticed the truckers taking off ramps for other routes.

It’s good to have inside information of what’s ahead for our lives, especially if it’s inside information on what’s ahead forever! You know, that eternity issue that is so very hard to visualize. If we only had some solid intelligence on what’s on the other side of the day we die, we’d know what road to take and what road to avoid. Thankfully, God hasn’t left us in the dark about what’s ahead.

In fact, Jesus gave us a dramatic, sobering report from someone who ended up on the wrong road. It’s the story of a beggar named Lazarus, who actually goes to heaven when he dies and a rich man who ends up in hell. Did you know that in scripture Jesus talks more about hell more than He talked about heaven? Maybe because He knows we wouldn’t want to believe it.

In Luke 16, beginning with verse 23, the Bible says, “In hell, where the rich man was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'” The answer in vs. 29-31, “Abraham saith unto him, they have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, no, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

Rather than guessing about what hell may hold we do have scripture to tell enough to hopefully awaken us to think about our eternal destiny and the destiny and friends, family and neighbors around us who may not have heard or accepted the gospel. There are no second chances, no relief if we ignore the gospel, no water to quench the fire. But God never meant for any of us to go there. Hell was prepared for Satan and his demons, but hell is the eternal death penalty for those who defy God and run their own lives. God had every right to just leave us condemned. But instead, because of His awesome love for us, He sent His one and only Son to take that death penalty for our sins when He died on the cross. Jesus experienced hell so we don’t ever have to.

God sends no one to hell. We do that by our choice to accept or reject Jesus and the sacrifice He paid for our sins. If there is one decision or choice where anxiety is appropriate it would that question. Where are you going when you die and based on what?

Don’t risk another day without Jesus as your Saviour.

Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.”
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Matthew 6:33,34 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

A Baby’s Tiny Hands…

Hebrews 12:1,2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and  is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

 A Baby’s Tiny Hands

While pregnant with her son
Beneath her heart within,
She’d often feel his hands
Moving inside her skin.

He’d stretch his arm and hand
and push out on her side
she’d lovingly push it back
with a smile so sweet and wide.

She could hardly wait
for his upcoming birth
to touch his tiny hands
and welcome him to earth.

Then it finally came,
the night that he was born.
With joy she couldn’t contain,
she held him until morn.

She explored his tiny fingers.
She counted all his toes.
She wanted to get to know him,
His ears, his cheeks, and his nose.

The wonder of it all,
at this new baby boy!
She could not hold back.
She wept with tears of joy.

She touched his tiny hand,
a miniature of her own.
He squeezed it tight on her finger.
Such joy she had never known!

The time passed and he grew.
As a toddler, it was grand
to walk along and hold
His fleshy little hand.

She taught him many things.
Together they spent hours.
She’d take his little hand
and touch it to a flower.

When she would hold him close,
He soon developed the knack
of hugging her ’round the neck,
His tiny hand patting her back.

As her son grew older,
His young hands also grew.
He learned many ways to use them.
Each day brought something new.

She helped him learn to read.
She helped him learn to write.
Then, as the day was ending,
she’d pray with him at night.

He learned to use a hammer
with which to drive a nail.
He’d sometimes strike his finger
and let out quite a wail!

Her son continued growing
and soon became a man.
She loved him just as much
As when his life began.

His hands were now full grown,
so strong, yet tender, when
He, with deep compassion,
comforted a friend.

She was extremely grateful
when his hands would fold;
and bowing his head in prayer,
to his Father in Heaven he’d hold.

As the years flew swiftly by,
she watched her son with pride,
His strong but gentle arms
and hands there at his side.

She then thought her life was over.
She suffered unspeakable loss
when her son’s beloved hands
were nailed to a wooden cross…

But that was just the beginning.
for he died and rose again.
Her sorrow then was ended,
and joy replaced her pain.

For, you see, her son was Jesus,
God coming to earth as man,
to save us from our sins
according to His plan.

We cannot save ourselves.
Our sins would lead to death.
God put our sins on Jesus,
the perfect and the best.

With this came our forgiveness
if we believe in Him
He will take away our sins,
and come into our lives,
As He was resurrected,

Eternal Life He’ll bring
to all who have faith and believe
and to His hand will cling.

John 14:6 “And He said unto them, I am the way, the truth and the life,
no one can come unto the Father, but by Me.”

Do you know Jesus…

Mat 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Do you know Jesus….

Have you tasted what a daily relationship with Jesus is all about? You say, I know Jesus was born, died and rose again and even know Him as my Savior.  And I attend a Christian Church. But I ask again. Have you tasted what a DAILY RELATIONSHIP with Jesus is all about?

Subject: Jesus

At one University each year they have what is called “Church Day”. It is a day when all the members of a certain denomination in the area are invited to the school because they want the Church dollars to keep coming in. On this day each one is to bring a lunch to be eaten outdoors in a grassy picnic area. Every “Church Day” the school would invite one of the greatest minds to lecture in the theological education center, and then eat their lunches outdoors.  One year they invited a popular speaker.

He spoke for two and one-half hours proving that the resurrection of Jesus was false. He quoted scholar after scholar and book after book. He concluded that since there was no such thing as the historical resurrection the religious tradition of the church was groundless, emotional mumbo-jumbo, because it was based on a relationship with a risen Jesus, who, in fact, never rose from the dead in any literal sense. He then asked if there were any questions.

After about 30 seconds, an old, dark skinned preacher with a head of short-cropped, woolly white hair stood up in the back of the auditorium. “Docta, I got one question,” he said as all eyes turned toward him. He reached into his sack lunch and pulled out an apple and began eating it. “Sir …” CRUNCH, MUNCH … “My question is a simple question, “CRUNCH, MUNCH … “Now I ain’t never read them books you read … ” CRUNCH,MUNCH … “and I can’t recite the Scriptures in the original Greek … “CRUNCH, MUNCH … “I don’t know nothin’ about Niebuhr and Heidegger …”CRUNCH, MUNCH … He continued with the apple. “All I wanna know is: This apple I just ate — was it bitter or sweet?”

He paused for a moment and answered in exemplary scholarly fashion: “I cannot possibly answer that question, for I haven’t tasted your apple.”

The white-haired preacher dropped the core of his apple into his crumpled paper bag, looked up at the speaker and said calmly, “Neither have you tasted my Jesus.”

The 1,000 plus in attendance could not contain themselves. The auditorium erupted with applause and cheers. He thanked his audience and promptly left the platform.

Have you tasted Jesus? In Psalms 34:8 we read: “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.” If you have, then rejoice in the hope of the resurrection that your faith in Him brings.

Remember one important thing. God created the Church and we are to use our spiritual gifts first within it and we are to serve Jesus in it. It only becomes a problem when some men turn it into their church versus Jesus church. So do not use this challenge as an excuse to stop fellowshipping. You are needed by your Savior in His Church. Have a great day developing your relationship with Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!

Heb 10:23-25 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Rom 1:20 “For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made. So men are without excuse.

Jesus, the Great ‘I Am’…

JESUS, THE GREAT ‘I AM’…

In our world today, there are many religions with some being among the largest in our world that do not believe that Jesus is Who He is and proclaimed to be. Many believe that Jesus was a great man and even a great Prophet but not God.

To find the truth we need only to listen to Jesus Himself and understand where He is today. It comes down to faith and we know without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). Most importantly do not listen to what any man teaches, or religion, if the teaching differs from scripture. If you believe the Bible to be from God (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21-22) and protected down through the ages (Mat 5:18) so that mankind cannot change it then listen to God. As John 8:32 says; ‘you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

In every chapter of the Gospel of John the Apostle, Jesus as One part of God is proclaimed. In John He is given the title of ‘the Word’, the ‘One and Only’, the ‘Lamb of God’, the ‘Son of God’, the ‘True Bread’, the ‘Life’, the ‘Resurrection’ and the ‘Vine’.  Jesus proclaims His preexistence and His eternal deity. The following are just a few of the places in the Bible showing that Jesus is God and the great ‘I Am’.

  • John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
  • John 6:35 “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never ”
  • John 8:12 “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
  • John 9:5b “…I am the light of the world”
  • John 10:7 “Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.”
  • John 10:11 ““I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
  • John 10:14-15 “I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.”
  • John 11:25-26 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
  • John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
  • John 15:5-6 ““I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
  • Hebrews 10:12 “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God”
  • Hebrews 12:2 “looking unto Jesus, the]author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God

John the Baptist not John the Apostle was sent to earth to proclaim the coming of God the Son as our Savior. While we are not John the Baptist, we do have a similar ministry (Mat 28:18-20) to proclaim the Gospel and that Jesus is coming again.

  • John 1:22-23 “Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
“Make straight the way of the Lord,”’ as the prophet Isaiah

The most important fact proclaiming Jesus to be God is that He is no longer in the grave as He would be if He were a mere human. HE ROSE FROM THE GRAVE and today is at God the Fathers right hand making intercession for the sinners we are. If Jesus were just a great man or a Prophet His body would still be in the grave.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:13-14, 17 “But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!”
  • Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

JESUS IS GOD, ARE YOU READY IF HE WERE TO COME BACK TODAY?

  • 1 John 2:28 “And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.”

Jesus, One Solitary Life…

Romans 14:11 “For it is written, as I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

JESUS, ONE SOLITARY LIFE…

Nearly 2,000 years ago in an obscure village in a remote corner of the world, a child was
born of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village where He worked as a carpenter until He was thirty. Then for three years He was a traveling preacher.

This Man never went to college or seminary. He never wrote a book. He never held a
public office. He had no wife or children, and never owned a home. He never traveled more than 200 miles from His birthplace. But though He never did any of the things that usually accompany greatness, throngs of people followed Him.

While He was still young, the tide of public opinion turned against Him. Even his closest
followers deserted Him. He was turned over to His enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was sentenced to death on a cross between two thieves.

While He was dying, His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on
earth— the simple coat He had worn. His body was laid in a borrowed grave provided by a compassionate friend.

But three days later this Man arose from the dead — living proof that He was who He
had claimed to be — God the Son who became man and the Savior whom God the Father had sent.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today the risen Lord Jesus Christ is the
central figure of the human race. His birth divides history into two eras. One day of every week is set aside in remembrance of Him. Our two most important holidays celebrate His birth and resurrection.

On church steeples around the world His cross has become the symbol of victory over
sin and death. This one Man’s life has furnished the theme for more songs, books, poems, and paintings than any other person or event in history. Thousands of colleges, hospitals, orphanages, and other institutions have been founded in honor of Him.

All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the governments that
ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned have not changed the course of history or affected mankind as much as——-THIS ONE SOLITARY LIFE.

JESUS, NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

And He is coming again……………..are you ready?
