Who, me a leader!
Do you see yourself as a leader this morning? We view leaders as only those who are in authority at work or church or in our government or generally those in positions of authority. But what we do not realize is that all people are leaders.
Friends, coworkers, neighbors and especially little eyes and ears if you have a family are watching you and taking direction from you. That is being a leader. Many do not recognize it as being a leader but it is. And yes, grandparents and those outside of the home fit into that category even if those little eyes and ears do not live with you daily. As a grandparent I like to joke about spoiling them and then sending them home but I realize I have a responsibility to those little eyes to help train them up in the way they should go as the book of Proverbs instructs us. And I am so blessed that our God is allowing me to do so.
We all lead, like it or not. So knowing that, would you like to know how to lead as God directs?
Jesus taught us how!
Mat 20:26-28 “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever DESIRES to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you; let him be your slave -just as the Son of Man did not come to be served; BUT TO SERVE, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Do those little eyes see you as a servant or a person demanding service?
Mat 10:24 “A disciple is not above his Teacher, nor a servant above his Master”
If you have been ‘born again’, your life caused the Savior, as the ultimate Servant, His!!!! We can have no better reason to serve. Do those little eyes and ears know your relationship with your Savior……?
I Cor 6:20 “For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your Spirit, WHICH ARE GOD’S.”
