Do you want Lifetime Employment.
After we are ‘born again’ the joy of serving Jesus becomes our life’s purpose. Or should I say that our Savior desires it to be our life’s purpose. That obedience thing can be tough with the flesh helping us to find reasons not to serve our Savior. The thing we forget is that a life of peace and joy are dependent on an attitude of service for our Lord. And for you retirees like me fortunately there is no mandatory retirement age for us. Just continued blessings to be stored up to for Jesus’ glory.
Mat 20:28″Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. “
So, have you been ‘born again’ and are you an active employee?
John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
If you are in need of either, there is no time like the present.
II Cor 6:2 ” For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
Romans 6:16 “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? “
Romans 12:1, 2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
