The topic of whether to discipline or not to and how it should be done has been a hot and dividing topic for our world for many years. As with all questions our God provides us with an answer. Our need is to search out His answer so that we do not fall into doing it the way the world says is correct. Remember, the god of this world today until Jesus returns is a liar and teaches error and is not our God.
II Cor 4:3,4 “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.”
Yes, I know there are many who do not believe in discipline, but God does.
How do you react when you are disciplined by God??? Our God treats us as sons and daughters and a loving parent…
Heb 12:4b-8 “…and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, ‘My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by Him; For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom
He receives.’ It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as sons; for what son is there whom His father does not discipline.”
No discipline from God means…
Heb 12:9 “But if you are without discipline of which all have become partackers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons”
The discipline of God can draw you to Him to be saved or if already saved it is a part of the maturing process so we can grow spiritually and glorify His name.
If we will but allow it to teach us……so the question is, how am I doing on allowing God to…….
